The lab established within the R&D department of FRITERM A.S. in compliance with the EN 328 Standard conducts the functional performance tests of the finned type heat exchangers produced as a result of the new design and development works in line with the principle of “Calorimetric Room”. The test systemconsists of two chambers as per the method used (the Calorimetric Room); the outer chamber is called the air conditioning unit while the inner chamber is called the calorimetric chamber. The fan products such as the air cooler, condenser and Dry Cooler are tested against the "Thermal Balance" principle in the calorimetric chamber. The heating and cooling coils can be tested in the switchboard module installed in the air conditioning chamber.

The Lab infrastructure available allows testing not only the  heat exchangers with Freon and wet/glycol heat exchangers but also the heat exchangers designed as CO2 evaporator and gas cooler.
