Friterm's new manufacturing plant has been certified by BREEAM Very Good Level

Recognized with its innovative structure, leading vision in technological developments and environmental consciousness and having adopted the notion of “Eco-friendly Industry”since 1979,
Friterm has been awarded with BREEAM certification in Very Good ranking with its Manufacturing Plant established in Dilovası Makine İhtisas Organized Industrial Zone.

Metin Tekeler, Friterm Maintenance Supervisor, provided information about the certification process and the innovations of Friterm in this regard and added:

In the certification process carried out through many different criteria, many subjects such as building management, energy efficiency, land use and ecology, transportation, materials and
pollution were evaluated. The systems that provide maximum efficiency in line with the energy modeling applied in the design phase were preferred.

As you know, Lighting Automation is one of the most important issues in energy saving, even today, 20% of the energy spent in our country is estimated to be used for lighting. As Friterm, when we were designing our new plant, this was one of the most important issues for us. The production facility was designed to benefit from daylight at maximum rate. With the application of daylight sensor applied in the production area, the energy consumption caused by the illumination was greatly saved. The sensor lighting in the warehouse also plays an important role in energy saving.

The need for heating is one of the most important items in energy use. Our factory provides important solutions for energy recovery, especially for heat recovery. Building insulation, which is designed to minimize the heat release, plays an important role in energy saving. With the Solar Wall technology installed on an area of 380 square meter on the southeast side of the production facility, the energy obtained from the sun is transferred to the environment by using fresh air, and therefore, we ensure the incoming air is warmed up with solar energy. In addition to this, our Heat Recovery System provides heat gain and the heat generated provides a significant saving in energy consumption by heating the outside air supplied to the interior environment.


Compressor Ekobox Heat Recovery System; In the special heat recovery module, we use the heat generated by compressing the air. The energy recovery system allows us to obtain hot water up to + 75ºC depending on the use and load of the compressor. We use this heat energy for heating.


As you know, we are in danger of the depletion of natural water resources. Rain water Warehouse and Siphonic System in the facility and water is obtained from rain except for summer months. Water saving has been achieved with the preference of efficient water fittings and the use of collected rainwater in the process and landscape.

We make Grey Water (water needed by people during their daily activities and produced from waste water) reusable again by filtering the waste water.
